Solved: YANHUA ACDP A51D License BMW Clear ISN Data Error

Problem: I’ve already purchased the A51D License on YANHUA Mini ACDP 2 for BMW, but it showed a failure message during the test: "Clear ISN data error".

What’s going on? Please help.

solved-yanhua-acdp-a51d-license-bmw-clear-isn-data-error-1

solved-yanhua-acdp-a51d-license-bmw-clear-isn-data-error-2

solved-yanhua-acdp-a51d-license-bmw-clear-isn-data-error-3

Root Cause

The error typically occurs because the A51D License is not the correct authorization for this specific function. Instead, the Module 40 Authorization License is required to perform ISN reset operations on BMW E, F, and G Chassis platforms.

Solution

To successfully clear the ISN data without errors, follow these steps:

1. Ensure you have the Module 40 Authorization License installed. This license can be purchased separately and is essential for advanced module operations.

Get Module 40 Authorization License:

https://www.obd2shop.co.uk/wholesale/yanhua-acdp-module40-bwm-8hp-e-f-g-ews-data-reset.html

2. Within the YANHUA Mini ACDP software, navigate to the transmission-related functions and select:

"8HP Reset EWS (E/F/G Chassis, Bench)"

3. Proceed with the operation. This option is compatible with the Module 40 license and should execute without the "Clear ISN data error."

solved-yanhua-acdp-a51d-license-bmw-clear-isn-data-error-4

Conclusion

The "Clear ISN data error" is a licensing issue, not a device malfunction. By using the Module 40 Authorization License and selecting the correct function in the tool, you can successfully perform ISN resets on supported BMW chassis.

Solved: Yanhua ACDP 2016 BMW G12 750i "Obtain password error"

Problem: When using the YANHUA Mini ACDP to program a 2016 BMW G12 750i for an all keys lost situation, the newly programmed key starts the engine, and the remote control works correctly. However, in the final step - synchronizing the EGS (Electronic Gearbox Control) and EWS (Immobilizer) - the tool shows an error:

"Obtain password error, please contact technical support!"

The system and immobilizer information were read, but the process could not be completed.

solved-yanhua-acdp-2016-bmw-g12-750i-obtain-password-error-4

Solution

This YANHUA ACDP error often occurs on BMW models with two engine control units. If the EGS password cannot be retrieved, it usually means the incorrect engine control unit data was read.

For BMW vehicles with two engines during an all keys lost procedure, you must read the EEPROM data from the main engine control unit, not the secondary one. Reading data from the wrong unit will result in a password read failure.

Ensure you identify and read the data from the correct ECU to complete the EGS/EWS synchronization.
